Adding your first Licences

Requirements before you begin:

  • You must be logged into your Signagelive Account

  • Be looking to add unused Signagelive licences when adding them to your Network

  • Be using valid Signagelive licences, which are in 16 digit code format.

This article details the process of adding one or multiple licences to your Signagelive Network. Licences (both Trials and Standard licences) can be added to your Network at the point of creation or at any time via the Licence Manager (Settings > Licences) within Signagelive.

Please Note

Licences in your Licence Pool (the list of available licences in the Licence Manager) can also be used as renewals if they have not been previously activated against another Signagelive Player. For more information on applying renewals, please see the steps in this article.

Adding your Licences

To add a new licence to your Signagelive Network:

  • Whilst logged into Signagelive, press the Settings drop-down

  • Select Licences to access the Licence Manager

  • Press the Add button (blue button with +)

  • When the drop-down menu appears, select Licences

  • Paste one or multiple licences into the ‘Licences to Add’ text box (add a line break between licences if adding multiple licences)

  • Once added, make sure you read through the End User Licence Agreement document before ticking the available tick-box to confirm you have

  • When ready to proceed, please press the Add Licences button

Your newly added licences will now be available in your Licence Pool and ready to be activated against a Signagelive Player of your choice. For advice on how to activate your Player, please see this article.

Please Note

Licences do not become active until they have been activated against a Signagelive Player for the first time. You can filter your available licences by "Unregistered" to identify any licences that match this status.

Issues adding licences to your Signagelive Network

If you experience issues when attempting to add new licences to your Network, this can be due to the following:

  • The licences you are attempting to add have already been used ("used" meaning they have already been added to a Signagelive Network)

  • The formatting of the licences, when copied and pasted into the Add Licences module, may include unsupported characters (such as a space or a bullet point at the start of the licence number)
