This article provides a walkthrough on how to activate your Signagelive Player against a Licence.

Once you have installed Signagelive on your chosen Media Player, you're now ready to activate your Player against a Licence in your Signagelive Network.

Activating against a brand-new Licence

If you're activating your Player against a new Licence follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Signagelive Network

  2. Click on Settings then select Licences from the drop-down menu

  3. Choose the Licence you wish to activate (if you have not yet added your Licence to your Signagelive Network, you can do so by pressing the blue + in the top left of this page)

  4. Click Activate

  5. Enter the 6-digit activation code displayed on the screen of your Media Player

Once your Player has been activated, your Player should soon display a green tick on-screen.

Activating against an existing Licence

If you're activating your Player against a Licence that has already been used with another Player, you'll first need to ensure that Player has been deactivated in order to use its allocated Licence. Here's how:

  1. Log into your Signagelive Network

  2. Click on Settings then select Licences from the drop-down menu

  3. Find the Licence/Player you wish to use (note: this will have a Player ID associated against it and depending on the duration left on that Licence - will also have a colour associated with it)

  4. Click on the Player/Licence then click Deactivate - following this, an Activate button will appear

  5. Click Activate

  6. Enter the 6-digit activation code displayed on the screen of your Media Player

Please Note

In an instance where you may have activated your Player against a Licence that was previously activated against another Player that had content published to it, your Player will not revert to a green tick upon re-activation, and will instead focus on downloading whatever content was last published to the Licence you have just re-used. In such an instance, you may notice the activation code remain on screen for a while longer after activation, this is expected and is not a cause for concern in this scenario.
