I've accidentally deleted a Signagelive Player/Licence - what do I do?

If you accidentally delete a Signagelive Player/Licence from your Signagelive Network (this happens when a Player is dragged into the Trash folder), it will be deactivated.

If your media player has an active internet connection, your device will display its original activation code.

But do not worry, you can easily restore your Player if it is still in the Trash folder by doing the following:

  1. Head to Network > Manage

  2. Click on the red ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Trash folder (found on the left-hand side of this page)

  3. Select your Player/Licence, then press the Restore button

  4. Once your Player/Licence has been restored, you can locate and reactivate it amongst the rest of your Signagelive Players (select the โญ All filter or ensure you are not still looking in the ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Trash folder).

Please Note

Once a Player/Licence has been restored from the Trash folder, you will need to reactivate it against the activation code shown on your device's screen. Please follow the steps in this article for advice on doing so.

What if I can't find my Player/Licence in the Trash folder?

If you cannot find your media player/licence in the Trash folder, this can mean one of 2 things:

  • The device is not in the Trash folder, and can likely be found amongst your other devices (you can confirm this by heading to Network > Manage and then using the search bar to find your player/licence)

  • You've permanently deleted your licence

If you suspect that you have permanently deleted your media player/licence and want to restore it, please contact our Support Team. They will be able to assist you further.
