Have you recently reset your media player or re-installed the Signagelive application and are now seeing this message on your screen?

"This player has been previously connected to Signagelive. Please deactivate it to continue with re-activation."

This message appears because your player's unique ID is still registered on your Signagelive network. To connect it again, you first need to "free up" its licence by deactivating the old record. This guide will walk you through the process step-by-step.

Step 1: Log in and Navigate to Player Management

First, you need to find the player's existing record within your Signagelive account.

  1. Log in to the Signagelive network

  2. From the main navigation bar, choose Network

  3. From the drop-down menu, select Manage.

Step 2: Locate and Deactivate the Player

You will now see a list of all the players registered on your network.

  1. Find the player you wish to reactivate from the list. You can use the search bar to find it by name.

  2. Click on the player to open its properties page.

  3. Select the Licence tab.

  4. Click the red Deactivate button. You will be asked to confirm this choice.

Step 3: Reactivate Your Player with the New Code

Once you confirm the deactivation, two things will happen:

  • The physical screen connected to your player will update to show a new 6-digit activation code.

  • In the Signagelive dashboard, the player's status will change, and a blue Activate button will appear next to it.

To complete the process:

  1. Click the blue Activate button on the player licence you are working with.

  2. A window will pop up asking for the activation code.

  3. Enter the new 6-digit code displayed on your screen.

  4. Click Activate.

What Happens Next?

Your player will now connect to the Signagelive network and begin its first content check. Within a few moments, it will download and start displaying its published content.

If you encounter any issues or do not have the necessary permissions to deactivate a player, please contact your network administrator for assistance.
