[C Range Panels] Rest of World: How to upgrade your Samsung Panel Firmware

Requirements before you begin:

  • Samsung SSP C Range Player (MDC/MECPEC/UEC/UDC)

  • USB Drive - including access to the Samsung device's USB slot.

  • Samsung Remote Control

Please Note

It is recommended that you wait for at least 60 seconds after powering on your display to proceed with a firmware update. We recommend you wait at least 30 seconds following insertion of your USB device to allow it to properly initialise and be available for use. We also advise that you change the input/ source before proceeding, rather than use the URL Launcher

What firmware is required?

MDC - (32, 40, 46 and 55 Range)

You have indicated that you are using a MDC (32, 40, 46 and 55) series panel, please ensure you have the latest firmware:


MDC - (65" Only)

You have indicated that you are using a MD65C 65" series panel, please ensure you have the latest firmware:


MEC - (All Models)

You have indicated that you are using a MEC series panel, please ensure you have the latest firmware:


PEC/UDC/UEC - (All Models)

You have indicated that you are using a PEC/UDC/UEC series panel, please ensure you have the latest firmware:

How to install the Firmware via USB

Please note for all Rest of World Panels, the following instructions can be used to install the firmware via USB.

  1. Download the firmwares from the section below.

  2. Unzip the files and rename the extracted main folder so that is as follows:

  • MDC (32,40,46,55) should be: X:\T-ECPLCDWWC\image\ (rest of the files)

  • MDC (65 Only) should be: X:\T-ECELC6DWWC\image\ (rest of the files)

  • MEC (all sizes) should be: X:\T-ECELCSDWWC\image\ (rest of the files)

  • PEC / UDC / UEC should be: X:\T-ECELCDWWC\image\ (rest of the files)

Please now put the USB in the SSSP

Switch to an input such as HDMI or DVI

Press Menu, Select Support > Software Update

Press by USB

It will search the USB for the update and you will now need follow the instructions shown on the screen.
