Configuring your C Series Samsung SSP Display

Requirements before you begin:

  • Samsung SSP C-Series Panel (for a full list of supported models, please read this article).

  • Samsung remote control

  • Connected USB Keyboard (optional)

  • Connection to either a wired or wireless network.

This article should be used as a guide to assist you with setting up your Samsung C Series display to work with Signagelive.

The instructions will take you through installing and configuring Signagelive from the displays out of the box state. If you have any issues during the process, please speak with our Support or Sales team for further advice.

How do I install Signagelive on my MDC display?

Text instructions for the installation and configuration of your Samsung C series MDC display can be found below:

  • Switch the panel into standby

  • Press Mute, Press 1, Press 8, Press 2, and Press On.

  • Select Control > Config Option > LFD Config Option > LFD Launcher > Server Url Setting

  • Enter http://go.smartlfd.com/V2 in the URL section.

  • Save the URL

  • Ensure the LFD Launcher is On

  • Ensure MagicInfo Lite is OFF

  • Switch the panel off and back on

  • When the SSSP restarts the Signagelive application will install and ask the user to enter the timezone and rotation settings.

  • Press enter on the remote control and the panel will restart.

  • Once the panel is restarted the activation code will be displayed

How do I install Signagelive on my MEC, UEC, PEC, or UDC Panels display?

Text instructions for the installation and configuration of your Samsung C series MEC, UEC, PEC, or UDC display can be found below:

  • Switch the panel into standby

  • Press Mute, Press 1, Press 8, Press 2, and Press On.

  • Select Control > LFD Option > LFD Launcher > Server Url Setting

  • Enter http://go.smartlfd.com/V2 in the URL section.

  • Save the URL

  • Ensure the LFD Launcher is On

  • Ensure MagicInfo Lite is OFF

  • Switch the panel off and back on

  • When the SSSP restarts the Signagelive application will install and ask the user to enter the timezone and rotation settings. The user will need to press enter on the remote control and the panel will restart.

  • Once the panel is restarted the activation code will be displayed

Your player will now launch and after downloading its content will show the Signagelive activation code. This should then be activated on your Signagelive Network using one of your active licences and when the player next successfully performs its content check, you’ll see the green tick appear to let you know the display has been successfully connected to Signagelive.
