How to configure a Samsung Tizen SSP panel (All models: B, F, H, J, N and R series)

This article should be used as a guide to assist you with setting up your Samsung Tizen B, F, H, J, N, and R Series displays to work with Signagelive.

The instructions will take you through installing and configuring Signagelive from the displays out of the box state. If you have any issues during the process, please speak with our Support or Sales team for further advice.

Requirements before you begin:

To configure your display, you will need a Samsung Tizen SSP B, F, H, J, N, and R Series panel, for a full list of supported models, please read this article.

You will require the following in order to complete the setup:

    • A Samsung remote control

    • Connected USB Keyboard (optional)

    • Connection to either a wired or wireless network.

How do I install Signagelive on my Samsung Tizen F, H, J, N, and R Series display?

Important Note

We recommend ensuring that your Samsung Tizen display is using the latest available Firmware before installing Signagelive. You can learn more about this in this Help Centre article

Text instructions for the installation and configuration of your Samsung F, H, J, N, and R Series (Tizen) display can be found below:

  1. Power on your Tizen display

  2. Select the Language in which to proceed (press OK to continue)

  3. Choose the Display Orientation (leave as landscape and press OK to continue)

  4. Disable Auto Power Off mode (press OK to continue)

  5. Confirm Network Access, or configure wireless network (press OK to continue)

  6. Set Display Local Date and Time (press OK to continue)

  7. Select URL Launcher* (press OK to continue)

  8. Enter or choose a display name (press OK to continue)

  9. Press the Home / Content button on the remote control

  10. Select URL Launcher Settings

  11. Select Install Web App

  12. Enter Signagelive Player URL (https://clients.signagelive.com/samsungsoc/latest/v4) (select OK to continue) (Note: the 'h' in http needs to be lower case)

  13. Select URL Launcher*

  14. Within the Signagelive Settings menu, set the Timezone of the display (press down arrow on remote to continue)

  15. Select Display Rotation, if any (press down arrow on remote to continue)

  16. Select Video Rotation, if any (press down arrow on remote to continue)

  17. Activate Remote Firmware Updates (press down arrow on remote to continue)

  18. Save settings

  19. Finally, in the OSD section in the main menu: Set the Screen Auto Protection to 'Off'

Important Note

If you do not see the URL Launcher then your panel may be set to run MagicInfo (by default). To rectify this, please follow the steps in this article.

How do I install Signagelive on my Samsung Tizen B Series display?

  1. Power on your Tizen display

  2. Select the Language in which to proceed (press OK to continue)

  3. Set up your wireless or wired internet connection

  4. Click Skip to your “Smart Signage Privacy Notice”

  5. On the “Installation Type screen”, select “Basic Setup”

  6. On the Auto Power Off screen, select “Off” to disable the Auto Power Off mode (press OK to continue)

  7. On the “Play via” screen, select “Custom App” for your player type and enter http://clients.signagelive.com/samsungsoc/latest/v4 as the URL at the bottom then select OK to continue. (Note: the 'h' in http needs to be lower case)

  8. Skip the “Connect to RM server” screen

  9. Select the correct Current time and date

  10. Set your Pin, it will default to “000000” if ignored

  11. Click done

  12. Once the app is installed it will give you your unique six digit activation code

Please Note

Should you wish to run your Tizen Player in a portrait rotation then you can use our Portrait App instead, please enter the following URL in place of the one listed in step 7 above: http://clients.signagelive. com/samsungsoc/latest/v4/ portrait. You can also use the Red Button on your remote to set the rotation.

Your player will now launch Signagelive and after downloading its content, will show the Signagelive activation code. This should then be activated on your Signagelive Network using one of your active licences and when the player next successfully performs its content check, you’ll see the green tick appear to let you know the display has been successfully connected to Signagelive.
