Understanding the Status of Players

Within your Signagelive Network, many ways exist to identify your Players' current connectivity and content status (e.g., devices, screens, etc.). The following article will help you through the types of information you have available to use.

Understanding Overall Player Status from the Player Dashboard

From the Player Dashboard, the following status information can be found at the top, and it will show you high-level information about all Players combined:

Active Licensed Players

The "Active & Licensed Players" metrics on the Signagelive Player Dashboard quickly show you how many of your Players are currently online and functioning and how many have valid licenses assigned, ensuring your network is operational and compliant.

  • Active

  • Deactivated

  • Expired

Players checking in correctly

The "Players checking in correctly" metric on the Signagelive Player Dashboard indicates whether your Players are consistently communicating with the platform. It helps confirm that they are online, receiving updates, and performing their scheduled content and health checks as expected.

  • Checking In

  • Not Checking In

Players with latest Content

The "Players with latest content" metric on the Signagelive Player Dashboard shows you exactly which Players have successfully downloaded and are currently displaying the most recently published content. This helps confirm that your network updates are complete and your audience sees the correct information.

  • With latest Content

  • Pending Content

  • No Status

Renewals Due

The "Renewals Due" metric on the Signagelive Player Dashboard provides a crucial heads-up for players whose licenses are expiring. This allows you to manage renewals and prevent service interruptions for those Players proactively.

Understanding Individual Player Status from the Player Dashboard

From the Player Dashboard, the following status information can be found for each and every Player that is activated to your Signagelive Network:

Content Status

This shows you the overall content status of your Player — including whether all published content has been successfully downloaded.

Reboot

This metric shows when your Player was last rebooted, so you can keep track of any recent restarts.

Time

Seconds, Minutes, Hours, Days, Months, Years

Content Check

This metric shows you when the last Content Check was performed. This is when your Player connects to our service to check if new content scheduling needs to be downloaded.

Health Check

This metric shows you when the last Health Check was performed. This is when your Player connects to our service to confirm that it's operational and working well.

CPU

This metric shows the last recorded percentage of CPU Usage that your Player uses regarding the underlying hardware.

Memory

This metric shows the last recorded percentage of Player Memory usage.

This metric shows the last recorded percentage of Player Disk space being used.

Temp

This metric shows your Player's last recorded temperature.

This metric shows the Renewal Date of the licence being used for this particular Player.
