Proactive Monitoring is a feature that provides email and SMS notifications in the event that the content you published doesn’t reach the players, or players on your network fail to connect within the parameters defined for your network. Proactive Monitoring works across all player types.

Signagelive created this feature so that Administrator users can manage their network more efficiently, and with the confidence that they will be alerted to any potential problems.

Proactive Monitoring offers the ability to respond immediately to issues, without relying on the customer or end user to alert you to them first. Unless you receive an alert, then everything is running as it should. This allows you to focus on other areas important to your business.

Configuring notification settings

Setting your notification preferences

You can set how regularly you would like to receive notifications from Signagelive within your user profile.

To access this select “User” on the very top right of your screen and select “Profile”.

You can then select the “Notifications” tab to view your current settings.

You can select your working hours which will dictate how notifications will be sent to you.

Please Note: You will need to have Proactive monitoring enabled for working hours to affect your network and to receive SMS notifications. SMS notifications only work for Proactive monitoring: "Connectivity Status" and "Content Status" alerts.

You can select your preferences between

Do not send - You will not receive notifications of this type.

Every time - You will receive notifications as soon as a notification is available.

Every X minutes - You can dictate how frequently you receive notifications,

Once a day - Set a daily time you want to receive notifications.

You can choose these preferences on

  • Connectivity Status - Informs you of players' connectivity stats.

  • Content Status - Informs you of the status of content being published.

  • Network Approver Management - All notifications for Approver users

  • Network Approvals Pending - Notification of pending content to approve

What do alerts contain?

Who will receive the alerts?

By default, all Administrator users on your network will receive the alerts, provided notification settings have been defined. Any user can receive alerts though if their Proactive Monitoring tab is configured, which will be sent following individual user notification settings as described above.

Where can I see the incidents in my Signagelive network?

In addition to receiving alerts by email, Incidents are logged in your Signagelive network and can be viewed on the Incident Log page:

  • Login to your Signagelive Network as Administrator
