The following article will guide you through the process of ensuring that you are on our supported Samsung Firmware, on either PMF or PHF models, in the event you are on a higher firmware than the currently supported version:

  1. Please begin by downloading the downgrade firmware from http://downloads.signagelive.com/T-HKMLAKUC-DOWNGRADE_USB.zip

  2. Please now download the USB 2040 firmware from http://downloads.signagelive.com/T-HKMLAKUC_2040.zip

  3. Update the firmware on the panel using the downgrade firmware:

  • Extract the contents of the supported firmware zip archive to the root of a USB drive and rename the new folder from T-HKMLAKUC-DOWNGRADE_USB to T-HKMLAKUC

  • Insert the USB drive into the Tizen screen

  • Change the source to any HDMI source on the display

  • Press Menu on the remote control and browse to the Support menu and select Software Update

  • In the Software Update Menu select Update Now

  • When prompted select Yes to search the USB drive for the update files and then Okay to confirm the update

  • The screen will update the firmware and then reboot itself

  • After the update, the panel will report as having firmware version 2005.4

Remove the USB drive from the Tizen panel and delete the firmware folder you created in Step 3(a) named T-HKMLAKUC

Update the firmware on the panel from 2005.4 to 2040:

  • Extract the contents of the 2040 firmware zip archive to the root of a USB drive and rename the new folder from T-HKMLAKUC_2040_USB to T-HKMLAKUC

  • Insert the USB drive into the Tizen screen

  • Press Menu on the remote control and browse to the Support menu and select Software Update

  • In the Software Update Menu select Update Now

  • When prompted select Yes to search the USB drive for update files and then Okay to confirm the update

  • The screen will update the firmware and then reboot itself

  • After the update, the panel will report as having firmware version 2040.
