BrightSign Series 5: Client Version 1.55

  • Introduced fix for RSS ticker/boot loop issue

  • Recommended firmware incremented to 9.0.145.1

  • Bug Fix: Tickers are now working on most players and configurations (when running on f/w 9.0.145.1)

BrightSign Series 3, 4 and 5 Clients

  • Added ability to dynamically update Players when incorrect Signagelive client version is detected.

BrightSign Series 5: Client Version 1.54

  • Added: Support for XT2145 and HS125

  • Modified: Keypress events (other than those reserved for normal interrupts, ctrl+s or ctrl+i) are now correctly registered as user interactivity, and will thus trigger interactive kiosk content (Kiosk Mode Enabled)

  • Fixed: Issue with playback of nested playlists when using validity in random playback mode

  • Fixed: Remote Screenshots not working when a Series 5 player is configured with a configuration file for a series 4 player (settings.json file)

BrightSign Series 3 / 4 - Client Version 1.49

  • Added: PTP Domain configuration support

  • Added: A visible on-screen cursor during interactive content when a player is in kiosk mode to aid user navigation and interaction

  • Modified: Keypress events (other than those reserved for normal interrupts, ctrl+s or ctrl+i) are now correctly registered as user interactivity, and will thus trigger interactive kiosk content (Kiosk Mode Enabled)

  • Modified: Random asset selection for nested playlists

  • Removed: checkHTML5SupportedFeatures Widget SDK support

  • Fixed: HDMI-in zones now display correctly when the content is rotated to portrait

  • Fixed: Media zones are now correctly Z-ordered when the content is rotated

  • Fixed: Black screen in a sync group

  • Fixed: Issue with fresh installation on f/w 7

  • Fixed: Issue with playback of nested playlists when using validity in random playback mode

  • Remote Screenshots functionality added

  • Timezone Setting via Signagelive Settings Menu added

  • Screen Control functionality added

  • Bug fixes:

    • Videos will get skipped if placed after a widget in a playlist on Sony

    • Black screen will be displayed instead of the "device is already activated on another license" or "model not supported" screens on Sony

    • Layouts display as black when rotated to 90 or 270 degrees on Sony
