TL;DR:
LG webOS client 3.2 (including Screen Takeovers) release (originally scheduled for March 31st, 2025) is postponed due to a last-minute testing issue. The new release date is to be announced.
Latest Update (15:38 on Monday, March 3rd 2025):
As you may know, we previously announced the launch of Screen Takeovers for LG webOS devices, which was packed into the LG webOS 3.2 client release which was slated to launch today (March 31st, 2025). Unfortunately, due to the results of our final quality assurance testing, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the release of this client.
During some final testing, we identified a potential issue related to one of the changes incorporated into this release (concerning Proof of Play data). While our QA team has developed a fix and is currently testing it, we are committed to ensuring a flawless and reliable release. We believe it is in the best interest of our customers to delay the launch and prioritize a high-quality experience over a rushed release.
We understand that this postponement may be disappointing, especially for those of you eagerly awaiting this new feature. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We'd like to assure you that our development team is working diligently to resolve the issue and set a new release date.
We will send you an updated timeline as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support.
