Firmware v3.68.30 for LG webOS 6.0
We have identified an issue with firmware v3.68.30 for LG webOS 6.0 devices which causes Signagelive to fail and remain on a black screen.
Should you encounter this issue or find that your device is running this firmware, please get in touch with our Signagelive Support Team and we can assist.
Resolution Limitations on LG webOS devices
If you're running an LG webOS device with an output resolution that exceeds 1920x1080 (4K panels, for example), the Resolution area on the System tab within Signagelive will only ever display 1920x1080.
This is a limitation of the Signagelive LG webOS client and has no bearing on your video content. Video content with resolutions higher than 1920x1080 can still be output at resolutions that exceed this (provided your LG panel supports this resolution). All other media types will render at 1920p.
Screen Takeovers Known Issues
Takeover frequency is calculated from the end time. For example, when the takeover playlist with a 20s duration is scheduled to play from 9:00:00 and a repeat frequency of 60 seconds. The events schedule looks like this: Event 1 09:00:00 - 09:00:20, Event 2 09:01:20 - 09:01:40
Takeovers: All players (except 3.0) are expected to freeze for a second with the content when transitioning in and out of takeovers
Takeovers: 3.0 players are expected to show a black screen when transitioning in and out of takeovers
Slave Players fail to continue playing the takeover contents when the Master player goes offline
Takeover video assets plays only for the default asset duration and not to the extended/increased asset duration set
Multiple assets on Takeover playlists are not played on WebOS 3.0/3.2 players. Single asset works
Takeovers: webOS 3.0, 3.2, 4.0, 4.1 - Nested and local playlists as part of takeover playlists won’t play multiple assets, single asset works. This works on webOS 6.0
