Granular User Permissions: Managing Permissions for the Tableau Integration

This article outlines the required permissions for managing Tableau with Granular User Permissions enabled on your Signagelive Network.

If you have Granular User Permissions enabled on your Signagelive Network, you’ll have more granular visibility of the different permissions related to the Tableau integration, which are as follows:

Permission Name

Description

Create Connected Accounts

Ability to create Tableau connected accounts.

View Connected Accounts

Ability to list the Tableau connected accounts.

Update Connected Accounts

Ability to update Tableau connected accounts.

Delete Connected Accounts

Ability to delete Tableau connected accounts.

View Sync Jobs

Ability to view the Tableau sync jobs which have been configured.

Create Sync Jobs

Ability to create a Tableau sync job.

Update Sync Jobs

Ability to update Tableau sync jobs.

Delete Sync Jobs

Ability to delete Tableau sync jobs.

View Audit

Ability to view the audit for the Tableau service.

To access the permissions above:

  • Whilst logged in as an Administrator (or a user with the relevant permissions to View and Manage Users) Head to Settings > Users

  • Click on the User you wish to view the permissions for

  • Click on the Permissions tab

  • Click the Advanced tab

  • Click the Data Integrations tab

Look for the Tableau drop-down, and you’ll find a collapsible list of all the permissions above.
