Today, 22nd July 2024, we launched Signagelive client version 1.55 for BrightSign Series 5 devices, and alongside this, firmware version 9.0.145.1 has now become our latest recommended firmware! 🔖
This new release introduces a long-awaited fix for rendering RSS tickers atop your Layouts, so now your RSS tickers can keep ticking along ⏰
Players will automatically upgrade to the 1.55 client within the next 24 hours (providing they have an internet connection) and no action is required on your end.
How to install 9.0.145.1 on your BrightSign series 5 Player
Power off your BrightSign device and remove the SD card
Extract the ZIP from the firmware you just downloaded
Add the BSFW file to the root of your SD card
Return the SD card to your BrightSign Player and power it back on
Upon completion of the above, your BrightSign device will automatically install the new firmware.
