Asset Tags are powerful labels you can apply to your content (images, videos, etc.) within Signagelive. They help you organise your media, make it easier to find, and enable smart content delivery based on Player Tags!

What are the benefits of adding tags to assets?

  • Easy Organisation: Categorise your content by theme, campaign, product, department, or any other criteria that make sense for your network.

  • Faster Searching: Quickly locate specific assets in your content library by entering a tag in the search bar.

  • Targeted Content Delivery (Conditional Playback): Combine Asset Tags with Player Tags to ensure content plays only on specific screens. For example, a "Summer Sale" tag on an ad can be set to play solely on Players tagged "Retail Store Front."

  • Streamlined Management: Simplify content updates and scheduling for large networks.

You can watch a video about applying tags to your Assets below:

How to Add a Tag to an Asset

To add a tag to a single media asset:

  1. Log in to your Signagelive Network.

  2. From the top navigation menu, select Content > Playlists > Create/Edit

  3. Locate Your Asset: You can find the specific image, video, or other media asset you want to tag. You can utilise the search bar or navigate through your folders.

  4. Open Asset Properties: Click on the name of the asset (or its thumbnail) to access its properties panel.

  5. Go to the "Tags" Section: Look for the "Tags" section in the properties panel.

  6. Add a Tag: Type your desired tag name into the input box (e.g., "Promotion," "Summer," "HR_Update," etc.) and press Enter or click the "Add" button.

  7. Click "Save" at the bottom of the properties panel to apply the tag.

You will see each tag applied, listed in the tags section of the Folder Properties, and each Asset added to this folder will automatically have the Tag applied to it as well.
