If you have added a license code and realized it was a mistake, the solution depends on where you added it. Please choose the scenario below that matches your situation.

Scenario 1: Assigned to the Wrong Player (Same Network)

"You applied a license to Player A, but you meant to use it for Player B."

Please Note

It is possible to resolve this scenario unaided. Follow the steps below as a User or above to complete

You do not need to delete the license; you simply need to deactivate it to free it up for the correct player:

  1. Log in to your Signagelive network as an Administrator.

  2. Go to Settings > Licenses.

  3. Find the license code

  4. Click the Deactivate button

    • Alternatively, you can go to Network > Manage, open the incorrect player, click the License tab, and click Deactivate there.

  5. The license is now "Deactivated" (amber color)

  6. Your player will now update to show a blue code, use this to activate the player on another available license on your network

Scenario 2: Added to the Wrong Network

"You have multiple Signagelive networks (e.g., "London Office" and "New York Office") and you accidentally added the code to the wrong one."

Please Note

Signagelive Support supervision will be required to resolve this scenario

Activated Signagelive licenses are non-transferable between networks once added:

  1. Contact Signagelive Support (via the Live Chat on their website or [email protected])

  2. Provide them with:

    • The impacted 16-digit License code.

    • The name of the Network it is currently on (the wrong one)

    • The name of the Network it should be on (the right one)

  3. Our team will then work with the commercial team to set you up with a new license to register on the new network and cancel this record from your billing account

Scenario 3: Applied a Renewal to the Wrong Player

"You used a renewal code to extend the expiry date of Player A, but you meant to extend Player B."

Please Note

Signagelive Support supervision will be required to resolve this scenario

This cannot be undone inside the dashboard. You will need manual assistance to "un-renew" the wrong player, and reset the renewal license back to an Unregistered state:

  1. Contact the Signagelive Support Team

  2. Provide them with the License Code or the Serial Number of the player you wrongly renewed

  3. Tell them which player the renewal should have been applied to
