Administrators, Users, and Read-Only Users can export detailed information about the players in their Signagelive Network. This report provides a comprehensive overview of each selected player, mirroring the data found in the Player Dashboard.

Steps to Export Player Data:

  1. Navigate to Player Management: In Signagelive, go to "Network" > "Manage" from the top navigation bar.

  2. Filter Players (Optional): Use the dropdown boxes or your custom folders on the left to filter the list of players and select only the ones you want to include in the report. This allows you to generate reports for specific groups of players. Note: If you do not filter, the export will include all players in your network.

  3. Select Players: Check the box next to each player you wish to include in the report. If you want all players, there may be a "Select All" option (depending on your Signagelive version).

  4. Export: Click the "Export" button.

  5. Report Generation and Delivery: A notification will appear, confirming that the report is being generated and will be sent to your registered email address. This is the email address associated with your Signagelive login.

  6. Check Your Email: The report, in .csv format, will be delivered to your inbox. Report generation can take some time, depending on the number of players and server load. Please allow several minutes before checking your email.

Report Contents:

The exported .csv file contains the following information for each selected player:

  • Player Name and Site Details

  • Device System Information

  • Connectivity Details

  • License Details

What can I use this export for?

The Network Export provides a comprehensive data file (.csv) of your selected players. While it's useful for many scenarios, here are some of the most common use cases:

  • Licence Auditing: Quickly review the status, expiry dates, and types of all your licences in a single view to plan for renewals.

  • Hardware Inventory: Create a complete inventory of your player hardware, including models, serial numbers, and firmware versions, for asset management.

  • Advanced Reporting: Import the CSV into spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Sheets to create custom reports, pivot tables, and charts based on player data.

  • Bulk Troubleshooting: Filter and sort data to identify groups of players that may be offline, low on storage, or require software updates.

  • Third-Party Integration: Use the raw data to import into your own internal asset management or IT monitoring systems.

Other Reports:

Signagelive also offers reports on user activity and media assets. These can be accessed through the "Reports" dropdown menu in the main navigation.

Troubleshooting: Report Not Received

If you haven't received your report within a reasonable timeframe (e.g., 10-15 minutes), please try the following:

  • Check Your Spam Folder: Sometimes automated emails can be mistakenly filtered as spam.

  • Verify Your Email Address: Ensure that the email address associated with your Signagelive account is correct. You can check and update this in your user profile settings.

  • Contact Support: If you still haven't received the report after checking these points, please contact Signagelive Support for assistance. They can help diagnose any potential issues with report generation or delivery.

If you are looking to use this data in a service and want to automate CSV exports, you can generate this report on an interval using this process.
