Resolving Video playback Issues Due to Unsupported Audio Codecs

If your players are experiencing issues due to unsupported audio codecs, it's essential to re-encode your video content.

  • Select Optimal Format: Review the Media Player Feature Comparison Page before encoding to identify the most suitable video/audio formats for your specific player types.

  • Encode Videos: Process your video files using our suggested video encoder. See this guide for more information

  • Update Content: Once encoded, upload these new video files to your Signagelive asset library

  • Maintain Performance: To prevent playback issues, remove any previously uploaded, unsupported video assets from your playlists and ensure they are no longer downloaded to your players

Managing Playlist Content Efficiently

  • Update Existing Playlists: You can directly modify the content of an existing playlist. Add or remove assets as needed in the Playlist Creator page. This method updates the playlist across all assigned players without requiring you to recreate the playlist from scratch

  • Transferring Content to a Different Playlist: To use assets in a new or different playlist, add them directly from your asset library into the desired target playlist. Ensure any video assets included have been correctly encoded as per the guidance above
