As you may know, earlier this year, we successfully migrated our London instance of Signagelive to Amazon Web Services (AWS). With that significant work complete, our attention now turns back to our Sydney-hosted instance of Signagelive (ap-southeast-2-1
), which also resides within AWS.
We are scheduled to carry out important infrastructure and security improvements to this instance. This article will detail the upcoming changes and how they will impact you as a Signagelive user.
From June 9th, 2025, to July 2nd, 2025, there will be significant background work to update ap-southeast-2-1
's infrastructure and security. During this period, the Sydney-hosted instance of Signagelive will experience minor downtime on two specific dates:
Monday, June 16th, 2025: Starting at 8:00 PM AEST / 7:30 PM ACST / 6:00 PM AWST (11:00 AM BST)
Monday, June 30th, 2025: Starting at 8:00 PM AEST / 7:30 PM ACST / 6:00 PM AWST (11:00 AM BST)
We anticipate that the scheduled work on these days will only result in approximately one hour of downtime per instance. During this time, users of the Sydney-hosted instance will be unable to log in, schedule new content, or make changes to existing content. Just so you know, your currently playing content, however, should continue to display as expected.
During this scheduled maintenance window, all areas of the Sydney-hosted instance of Signagelive will be impacted. Including: User Interface Access, Player Connectivity and API connections.
While we aim for a one-hour window, please be aware that the exact duration of the downtime may vary depending on the progress of the maintenance and any unforeseen circumstances that may arise on the day. We recommend refraining from making any changes to your Signagelive instance during these scheduled periods.
