Using Data Integrations within Signagelive, you can connect your Tableau account and display Dashboards and Views on your Signagelive Players.
How it works
Below is an outline of the process of displaying your Tableau content on your Signagelive Players:
You’ll create a connection within the Data Integrations application by logging into Tableau
You'll configure sync jobs to retrieve screenshots from your desired workbooks, worksheets, and dashboards from within Tableau.
You'll use the Tableau app from the Signagelive Marketplace to retrieve the screenshots mentioned above.
You'll publish the Tableau app to your Signagelive Players via a Playlist or a Layout.
How is Tableau Data secured?
As with all supported services within our Data Integration application, Tableau data is secured in the following manner:
Tableau admins have full control over the integration and can disable this at any time via the Tableau settings page where the Connect App was created
Credentials and keys are securely stored in the cloud, encrypted at rest and not transmitted to players, meaning that they are secure and easy to rotate.
Further to the security benefit mentioned above - no data is transmitted from the Data Integrations application to the Signagelive Client as only screenshots are being sent, therefore there is no data to intercept
Password-protected dashboards are broadcast on screens without exposing login credentials or making data publicly available via a public URL
These security measures ensure that you can share data quickly and safely.
Please Note
Saving of Filters and User Interactions are not supported in this release.
