If your content isn't showing or updating as expected, your Player Dashboard is the first place to check! The colored icons tell you a lot about your Players' status.

What do the different colours on the Dashboard mean?

The colours on your Player Dashboard are representative of the following:

Green

All good! There are no (or very few) Players with faults – not enough to trigger an Alert or Warning.

Amber

Heads up! One or more Players are showing a Warning.

Red

Action needed! One or more Players are showing an Alert.

How can I configure when these Alerts and Warnings show?

You can customise your Dashboard's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to trigger Alerts and Warnings based on the percentage of Players on your Network experiencing an issue.

For example:

  • You could set an Amber Warning to show if 10% of your Players fail to perform their scheduled Content Checks.

  • You could set a Red Alert if that number increases to 20% of your Players.

What could cause these Alerts and Warning?

While there are many reasons for Alerts or Warnings, the most frequent causes are often simple to fix:

  • Is your Player powered on?

  • Could you please check that the power cable is connected? Was it unplugged?

  • Could you tell me if you see anything on your screen?

  • Is your Player connected to the network?

  • Have the network settings changed, or has the network cable been unplugged?

  • Are you connected via Wired Internet or WIFI, could there be an issue locally with access?

  • Does your Player have an internet connection (if required)?

  • Have you configured the Player or network to allow internet access?

  • Has your content been published?

  • Check Reports > Queues > Network Queues to confirm the content has fully published.

  • If not, try re-saving your content or re-publishing it.
