Playlists are essential to your digital signage experience within Signagelive, determining the content that plays and the order in which it appears on your Players across various locations. Effectively managing Playlists helps keep your content fresh and relevant, and it will also make your overall experience with our platform more straightforward.
The following help article provides excellent advice on managing your playlists effectively:
How to Find Your Playlists
You can access and manage all your Playlists from the main Signagelive interface:
Log in to your Signagelive Network.
From the top navigation menu, select Content > Playlists, then Manage.
You'll then see a list of all existing Playlists on your network.
Using the Playlist Manager
The Playlist Manager provides different views and tools to help you organise and find your Playlists within your Signagelive Network. On the left-hand side of the Playlist Manager, you will find the following folders to help you manage your Playlists:
All | This view shows every single Playlist registered on your Signagelive Network. |
Recently Added | Displays Playlists that were recently created and added to your network. |
Recently Updated | Shows Playlists that have had recent changes made to them. |
Trash | Lists any Playlists that you have "trashed" from your Signagelive Network. |
How to Search for a Specific Playlist
To quickly find a particular Playlist:
Locate the Search Bar (usually at the top of the Playlist list) from the main Manage Playlists page. (eg. Content > Playlists, then Manage)
Type the name or part of the name of the Playlist you're looking for into the search bar.
The list will automatically filter to show matching Playlists.
How to Organise Your Playlists
While the Playlist Manager offers default views, you can organise your Playlists by:
Naming Conventions: Use clear and consistent naming conventions (e.g., "Retail - Lobby - Loop 1," "Office - Daily Announcements").
Creating Folders (if available): If your Signagelive plan supports custom folders for Playlists (similar to Player Folders), you can use these to group related Playlists.
Filtering: Utilise the search bar and manager views (like "Recently Added") to locate specific sets of Playlists quickly.
