In such instances where a member of our Signagelive Team is assisting you with an issue or training session and may require access to your Signagelive Network, you can make use of our Grant Network Access feature in order to provide a chosen access level to a member of our team for a select amount of time. This will allow us to log into your Network and assist you further until the allowed access window has expired, at which point we will not be able to access your Network again until a new access request has been granted.

Please Note

Prior to June 2023, the Signagelive Team used to have the ability to access Signagelive Networks without requesting access. This change comes as a result of the release of Hierarchies as well as a desire to employ better security practices.

Managing Signagelive Network Access

There are a few ways you can grant a member of our Support Team access to your Signagelive Network, and which option you use will depend on both your permission level on your Network and the nature of the access request.

Detailed below are the varying levels of access you can provide and when these may be used:

  • New Access Request - this option allows you to raise an access request on your Network for authorization. Network Access Requests can be raised by any user on a Signagelive Network or by the Signagelive Team directly; no permission is needed to raise Network Access Requests. Once this request has been approved by an Administrator, or any user with the “Manage Signagelive Network Access Requests” permission enabled (if you have the Granular User Permissions module added to your Network), our Support Team will be able to access the relevant Signagelive Network for a selected time frame at a permission level of your choosing.

  • Enable Access for a Signagelive Team - if you are an Administrator or have the “”Enable Signagelive Network Access” permission enabled (if you have the Granular User Permissions module added to your Network), you will be able to immediately grant a Signagelive Team indefinite access to your Network using this option.

  • Provide Permission for Signagelive to Enable Access - if you are an Administrator or have the “Provide Permission for Signagelive Access" permission enabled (if you have the Granular User Permissions module added to your Network), enabling this option will provide our Support Team with the ability to grant themselves access to your Network for 24 hours at a time, as and when they need it. Typically if you have a ticket open with us regarding a pending issue in which we may need to frequently re-access your Network, this option would serve best for you.

Who can manage Network Access Requests?

Any requests will need to be managed by an Administrator or by a user with the “Manage Signagelive Network Access Requests” permission enabled (if you have the Granular User Permissions module added to your Network) before the Signagelive Team can access your Network.
