On September 29, 2025, we implemented a security update for all Samsung D and E series devices running the Signagelive client. This update adds JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) to all media asset URLs, such as those for your images and videos.
This change means your content URLs are now more secure, as they can no longer be accessed without a valid, temporary security token. This significantly enhances the protection of your digital signage network.
What does this mean for you?
No action is required: This change is being applied automatically, and your Samsung D and E series devices running Signagelive will generally update within the next 24 hours or upon their next reboot (as long as they are connected to the internet).
Improved security: The update strengthens the security of your media content, ensuring it can only be accessed by your authorised devices.
