Overview -

Signagelive Outage - Player Connectivity (11th Sept 2025)

Brief Summary -

Today, on 11th September 2025, between approximately 12:00 BST through to 14:34 PM BST, the Signagelive Platform experienced a Player Connectivity outage that impacted the ability for Players to connect to Signagelive. During this period, users will have noticed the following issues:

  • Players would not successfully connect to Signagelive, and therefore miss ‘Content’ and ‘Health’ checks.

  • Players would not be able to connect or download any new media publications.

Please Note - This would not have caused the Players to stop playing their currently scheduled content on your connected Media Players.

Root Cause Identification

A security patch caused the system outage for our Player API. It was released to address a security vulnerability around 12:00 PM BST and was being monitored by our Development Team. At approximately 13:43 PM BST, the Support Team realised that an issue needed to be addressed.

Corrective Actions Taken

To resolve this issue, we rolled back the Player API security patch, completing it by approximately 14:34 BST. Player connectivity was then restored to normal service; however, we are still monitoring.
