Thanks to Signagelive's exclusive partnership with Screenfeed, you can purchase Screenfeed products through Signagelive and now access your purchased Screenfeed content directly within the Signagelive application! This guide will walk you through how this integration works and how you can effortlessly manage dynamic and high-quality content that captivates your audience and enhances your digital signage.
Please Note
At this time, only Screenfeed products purchased through Signagelive will be accessible via the Screenfeed integration. Should you have an existing Screenfeed account acquired outside of Signagelive, you’ll be able to add your content to Signagelive using the steps in this article.
Activating the Screenfeed Application on your Signagelive Network
Upon purchasing Screenfeed products through Signagelive, your purchased products are instantly linked to your Signagelive Network, providing immediate access to a wealth of engaging content directly within the Signagelive interface. The following section will detail how to get access to Screenfeed.
Granting Access to the Screenfeed Application
After Screenfeed has been added to your Network for the first time, users will need to be added to the application in order to access it from the Application Switcher (located in the top left-hand corner of your Signagelive Network). Here’s how:
Log in to Signagelive as an Administrator or a user with the relevant permissions
Click on your [Signagelive Network Name] (e.g., 'Signagelive Studio (17599)' in our case), then select Edit from the drop-down menu
Click the Network Applications tab
Click the Gear icon (⚙️) next to the Screenfeed application
Click New User
Select the relevant user from the drop-down menu
Press OK
Upon completing the steps above, you’ll be able to access the Screenfeed application in one of two ways, which will be detailed in the next section.
Accessing the Screenfeed Application
Once you have been granted access to the Screenfeed application, you can access it in one of two ways:
Via the Application Switcher in the top left-hand corner of your Signagelive Network
Click on the Application Switcher
Select Screenfeed from the drop-down menu
Via your Content Library:
Head to Content > Playlists > Create/Edit
Click the Blue Plus + located to the left of the Content Library
Select Screenfeed from the drop-down menu.
A new tab will open for the Screenfeed application and you’ll automatically be logged into the platform via the account associated with your Signagelive Network
Upon accessing the Screenfeed application, you'll immediately discover the array of available content, tailored to the bundles or standalone apps you've purchased through Signagelive.
Don't see an app you want access to? If so, contact your Signagelive representative today or use this contact form to discuss purchasing additional Screenfeed products.
Using Screenfeed within Signagelive
Filtering Screenfeed Content by Content Types
Within the Screenfeed user interface, you can use the filters to quickly identify the types of content you'd like to access. There is also an 'Apps You’re Using' filter, which displays any apps from which you have created a feed. This allows you to revisit and refine feeds you've already created easily.
Creating a Feed
Creating a feed is incredibly straightforward: simply select your desired Screenfeed app and click Create a Feed. This instantly publishes the feed to your Signagelive Network (note: this does not publish the feed to your Signagelive Players, it simply adds your chosen feed to the Content Library within Signagelive).
Please Note
If a Feed is already created for the app you choose, you will be taken to the Feeds List page. From here, you can either create new Feeds or edit existing ones. See the Feeds List section of this article for more information.
Customising and Managing your Feeds
Clicking on Customize this feed will allow you to make changes to your chosen feed, which will be displayed in real time in the preview at the top of the page. Once you have finished making your changes, hit the Save Changes button to apply them to your Feed.
The adjustable parameters provide extensive control over your feeds, from visual themes to duration, allowing you to tailor content to suit your brand.
Feed Lists
Once a Feed has been created, it will be accessible within the page for the App that the Feed corresponds to (the Feeds List).
To access the Feeds List for your chosen app, click on the app you’d like to use. Note: if this is your first time using the app you have chosen, a Feed List will not exist until you have clicked on the Create Feed button.
For example, in the Screenshot below, we’re using the Company Stocks app, and we can see a list of all Company Stocks feeds created within that app. Each feed will be imported into your Signagelive Content Library as a separate piece of content whenever it has been published.
At any time, you can hover over one of your Feeds in the Feeds List, and you'll be presented with the options to Rename, Duplicate, Configure or Delete a Feed. Any changes you make will automatically be synced for that Feed within your Content Library within Signagelive.
Rename: Accessed via the pencil icon when hovering over your chosen Feed, this will allow you to rename your Feed (this will also rename the asset in the Signagelive Content Library too).
Duplicate: Immediately duplicates the chosen Feed; the duplicate Feed will have "- Copy" added to the end of its Feed name.
Configure: Allows you to edit the properties for your chosen Feed (as per the Customising and Updating your Feeds section). Once you press the Save Changes button, any changes will be synced to your Feed.
Delete: This will immediately delete your Feed from the chosen Screenfeed app and from your Signagelive Content Library. Note: If your feed is published to any Signagelive Players, this will be deleted from your player the next time it performs a content check.
Managing your feeds in this way allows your Screenfeed content to be synced seamlessly to your Signagelive Content Library.
Publishing your Screenfeed content to your Signagelive Players
Once your chosen Feeds within your Screenfeed Apps have been published (within Screenfeed), they will appear in your Signagelive Content Library. From here, you can add this content to your Playlists and publish to your Signagelive Players just like any other content. For more information on this process, please see the articles below:
