How to factory reset your LG webOS device

The process of factory resetting your LG webOS device will differ depending on which webOS version your device is running.


How to find your webOS version

Option 1: From the Signagelive Settings Menu

  1. With Signagelive running on your LG webOS device, press the Yellow button

  2. When the Info Pane appears, look for the webOS version field

Option 2: From the native LG Settings Menu

  1. Press Settings on your LG remote control

  2. Head to General > System Information

  3. Look for the webOS version field


How to factory reset LG webOS 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 devices

  1. Hold the Settings button on your LG remote control until a chat bubble appears in the top right-hand side of your screen

  2. Enter 0,0,0,0 followed by the OK button

  3. On the Signage Setup menu, scroll down and select Factory Reset

How to factory reset LG webOS 3.2, 4.0, 4.1, and 6.0 devices

  1. Press Settings on your LG remote control

  2. Head to the Admin menu

  3. Toggle Admin mode to the ON state (the default password is 0,0,0,0,0,0 if this has not been previously changed)

  4. Select Factory Reset

  5. Select Confirm

Please Note

If you're reinstalling the Signagelive application following a factory reset, the Player will need to be deactivated within Signagelive in order to display a new Activation Code
