ChromeOS Flex uses the same update features as a standard ChromeOS device and therefore follows the same release cycle as ChromeOS.
We strongly recommend using the LTS channel on ChromeOS Flex devices, as per our Changing to Long Term Support (LTS) channel on the Chrome Management Console article.
