ISSUE SUMMARY
As of the 22nd April 2022 we began to receive reports of the Google Slide widget not working properly for a small number of users with black screens being shown instead of the content. As the reports have continued to increase slowly, we began to replicate and investigate this issue on the related Media Players further within our Technical Teams and can confirm that changes that Google have made are not compatible with the older browsers and this is causing the widget to no longer work.
At this stage regrettably there is not anything we can do to resolve this issue as it is not a change we have made, but one of how Google allows their content to be played on older browsers. We will however keep investigating and provide further updates in due course.

We are continuing to see a steady rise in customers informing our Support Team of issues relating to the use of the Google Slides widget on their Media Players. We are now extensively testing all Media Players we have have to learn the extent of this issue, and communicating with customers about the matter. We will post more detailed Media Player information as and when we have this available.
