How can you find the Signagelive Player Serial Number for your Media Player?

When you wish to discuss a particular issue with our Support Team, they may ask you for the Signagelive Player Serial Number so they can locate your device and troubleshoot on your behalf.

How to find the Player Serial via your Signagelive Network

The easiest way to find the Serial Number via your Signagelive Network is to:

  1. Start by logging in to Signagelive Network

  2. Now, either use the Player Dashboard information to find your Player Serial (e.g., it's the numbers that appear before the Player Name), or, if easier, click on Network Manage, and the Player Serial Number can be found under the Player column on the far left.

If you don't have access to the Signagelive Dashboard, then there are other ways to locate your Player Serial via the actual Media Player as we cover below.


How to find the Player Serial via your Media Player

To find the Signagelive Player Serial via your Media Player, the following instructions can be applied to assist you:

Amazon

Signage Stick

To find the Player Serial on the Amazon Signage Stick

  1. Please ensure that Signagelive is running.

  2. Hold the middle button on the remote controller for 5 seconds and release it.

BrightSign

To find the Player Serial on the BrightSign device:

  1. Please ensure that Signagelive is running (you may need to check the HDMI connection or change the input source on your display.

  2. Connect a keyboard to your BrightSign device

  3. Press Ctrl + I to show the Serial Number

ChromeOS Player

To find the Player Serial on the ChromeOS device:

  1. Ensure Signagelive is running on your device.

  2. Connect a keyboard to the device.

  3. Press Ctrl + Shift + 1 simultaneously.

  4. Make a note of the Signagelive serial number that appears.

SMIL Player (IAdea)

To find the Player Serial on the SMIL (IAdea) device:

  1. Ensure your IADea device is running.

  2. Connect a mouse to the device.

  3. Hold down the mouse click for 10 seconds in any corner of the screen until a menu appears.

  4. Click Advanced in the top right corner of the menu, then select Information.

  5. Make a note of the Player information displayed.

LG webOS

To find the Player Serial on the LG webOS device:

  1. First, please ensure that Signagelive is running.

  2. Press the Yellow button at the bottom of your remote.

Philips

To find the Player Serial on the Philips device:

  1. First, please ensure that Signagelive is running.

  2. Press the 0 button at the bottom of your remote.

Samsung

(SSSP/Tizen)

To find the Player Serial on the Samsung device:

  1. Ensure Signagelive is currently running. If not, press the Home button and then select URL Launcher to start it.

  2. Once Signagelive is running, press the Info button on your device.

  3. Your Signagelive serial number will then be displayed.

Sony

To find the Player Serial on the Sony device:

  1. First, please ensure that Signagelive is running.

  2. Press the 0 button at the bottom of your remote.

Windows

(HTML5)

To find the Player Serial on the Windows (HTML5) device:

  1. Ensure the Signagelive app is running on your device.

  2. Connect a keyboard to the device.

  3. Press Ctrl + I simultaneously.

  4. Make a note of the Signagelive serial number that appears.

Windows

(Legacy PC)

To find the Player Serial on the Windows (Legacy PC) device:

  1. Connect a keyboard to your device.

  2. Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.

  3. Type regedit and press Enter (or click OK) to open the Registry Editor.

  4. Navigate to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Remote Media\SignController

  5. Look for the field named SerialNo.

  6. The value displayed in this field is your Signagelive serial number.
