My Edge device is showing a code on-screen, what do I do?

This is the pairing code used to link your device with the Viana Portal, please follow the steps in the Adding your Edge device to your Viana Network section of this article.

Please Note

If you have manually deactivated your Edge device within the Viana Dashboard in the hopes of using it with a Player on a new/different Signagelive Network, please contact our Support Team as we will need to pass this information onto the meldCX team. Pairing your Edge Device/Viana Network with a new Signagelive Network is an action that is to be carried out by the meldCX Support Team.

What are the minimum requirements for my Edge device?

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-10th Gen or higher

  • Integrated Graphics: Intel UHD/Iris Graphics

  • RAM: at least 16GB memory

  • Storage: at least 120GB SSD

  • OS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

So far, approved devices include NUC Mini PC (NUCi710, NUCi711, and NUCi712). We highly recommend contacting the meldCX team before purchasing via [email protected], who will be able to properly guide you through acquiring an approved Edge device.

Known Issues

(31-07-24)

If trigger content (published to the NEC ALP interrupt) is published AFTER an existing Interrupt Schedule (see screenshot below for reference), your Targeting Strategy within the Viana Portal will fail to retrieve content published to the NEC ALP interrupt.

A workaround (until this is resolved) is to ensure that any NEC ALP content is published before any other Interrupt Schedules.
