If you have an IPTV solution and would like to use this within Signagelive, you can simply add the ‘channel URL’ to your asset library and add this URL to a playlist to be published to one, many or all of your players.

How can I add a stream to my asset library?

To add the IPTV stream URL to your network, follow these simple steps:

  • Log in to Signagelive as an Administrator or a User

  • Select Content

  • Select Playlist

  • Select Create/ Edit

  • Select the Blue + (Add) button

  • Select IPTV Stream

  • Enter a Name (this should detail both the Stream and the channel being broadcast)

  • Type or paste the stream URL

  • Press Save

Your new IPTV stream will now be added to your Signagelive asset library as an asset and you can add this to any playlist, just like any other piece of content, such as an image, video, web page or widget.

How can I add a stream to a playlist?

To add your IPTV stream to a new playlist, follow these steps:

  • Login to Signagelive as an Administrator, User or Local User

  • Select Content

  • Select Playlist

  • Select Create/ Edit

  • Select "Recently Added" folder from the smart folders list (or search for the filename entered when you uploaded your IPTV Stream asset)

  • Drag the asset into the playlist area

  • Double click the asset to open its properties

  • Select Duration

  • Change the duration to anything beyond the expected playtime, this will ensure the content will not refresh and flicker on screen during the feed.

  • Select Save Playlist

  • Enter Save as name

  • Select Save

You can also add your IPTV Stream to any existing playlist by using the Open Playlist option within the playlist creator and following the above steps.

Please Note

It is important that you amend the duration of your IPTV Stream as the default option is set to 10 seconds. If left unchanged, the feed will refresh every 10 seconds, and this would be visible to anyone viewing the content.
