Depending on the resolution of your Player, you may wish to resize your image content to ensure optimal content playback. In this article, we will show you how you can go about resizing your images.
An oversized image relates to any image that exceeds the current resolution set on your Player (for example, publishing a image with a resolution of 3840x2160 to a Player with a set resolution of 1920x1080). It is advised that you ensure any content deployed to your Players does not exceed the resolution of the Player itself. Failure to do so can result in Players falling offline, content playback freezing, and more.
Resizing your images using Paint (Windows 11)
Open Paint and press File > Open and open your desired image
Head to File > Image Properties
Set the Units to Pixels and set your desired Width and Height then press OK
Press File > Save As and select your output format (JPEG or PNG)
Choose a save location and file name for your image then press Save

Resizing your images using GIMP
Download GIMP by clicking here
Open GIMP and then import your image file by pressing File > Open... or by dragging and dropping the file into the application
Press Image > Scale Image... and enter your desired resolution (ensure this matches/does not exceed your Players' set output resolution) and press Scale
Press File > Export As... and set your desired file name and export location
Finally, press Export followed by Export once again
