Since we flattened our licences, meaning there is now only one type of licence available (rather than standard and renewal licences), we advise that you follow the instructions in this article to request a renewal directly.
However, in some cases, you may well still be sent a licence code to add to your current Signagelive licence as a 'renewal'. Alternatively, you can use any of the unregistered licences available on your Signagelive Network to extend any licence nearing its renewal date.
I have been sent a 'renewal' licence code, what do I do next?
You will need to first upload this licence to your Signagelive Network. This will then be shown as an unregistered licence and can be used for any new activation, or to extend one of your expiring or already activated licences.
You can follow the steps below to add this to your Signagelive Network:
- Log in to Signagelive as an Administrator
- Select Settings
- Select Licences
- Select + button
- Select Licences
- Paste one or more licences (one per line) into the text area
- Tick box to accept End User Agreement
- Select Add Licences
You'll be shown the status of the licence/s that you have just added to your Signagelive Network. Each new licence will now be listed as 'unregistered' and available to use, either for a brand new activation, or to use to extend one of your currently activated Player licences
I have added my licence, what's next?
To use your unregistered licence to 'renew' an activated Player's licence, follow the steps below:
- Log in to Signagelive as an Administrator
- Select Network
- Select Manage
- Select the Player that you wish to renew/ extend the licence of (click on its player name or address details)
- Select Licence tab
- Select Renew
- Choose the licence terms you wish to add to your current licence. This list will show the length of all unregistered licences available in your Signagelive Network.
- Select Renew
The length of the licence that you have just applied will now be added to the duration of the old licence and will be reflected in the end or expiry date listed against that licence or Player.
