New vs Old Playlist Creator, what's the difference?

Follow

So, what's all the commotion?

Well, we've released the Beta of our New Playlist Creator. It's a lot like the old Playlist Creator in its use, so don't be afraid of the change.

WHY?

What's wrong with the old Playlist Creator, I hear you ask? Nothing really, it's got the features we like and it's intuitive. The problem is, it's flash based. The new, Beta Playlist Creator is the first component to be migrated over to our new HTML5 UI, so it's a really important first step for us and is a giant leap towards a new, more flexible solution for us all.

We have made the video below highlighting some of the new features in the new Playlist Creator, have a watch and feel free to comment on the video and share your thoughts, or you can head over to our community to discuss the new UI in all its glory with us as well as other users.

We've also put together this handy table of differences showing you the current (or legacy) Playlist Creator vs the new Beta Playlist Creator.

It is important to highlight, however, that the new Playlist Creator is a Beta product, meaning it will change during its test period and before its final release. We'll be making changes based on your feedback, so we welcome your input and have made this feedback form especially for you to voice your opinions.

We hope that you're as excited about this change as we are, it's the first of many, so watch this space.
