  • What is a Playlist? - A playlist is a collection of media assets that you have added to a timeline within the Playlist Creator that will run in a sequence of your choosing and will be displayed on your player as a fullscreen presentation or within a layout.
  • What is a Layout? - A layout is a presentation that can consist of mutizone content, which can include elements such as multiple playlists from the network, RSS Tickers and Images, Background Images and Widgets.

.. if you have selected Layout

If you have selected Layout from the “What do you wish to show?” prompt then after clicking this option you will be presented with the Open Layout manager as shown below:

From the Open Layout window you can use the available search facility and folders to locate the layout template you wish to use. When you have found your layout you can click on layout item and it will be highlighted with a yellow colour. When happy with your choice, you can click the green OK button to proceed.

When you have selected your layout, you are now to begin adding content in to your designated schedulable zones with the Configure your Layout window. To achieve this you will need to double click your mouse on each of the available schedulable zones and use the Choose a Playlist windows to select your playlist content. As you can see from our example, we have four schedulable zones that will require playlists:

When you have made your selection you will be taken back to the Layout Preview area and will noticed that the first still image of your content selection will have been added to your preview.

You will now be required to repeat this process by going through all of the schedulable content zones within your desired layout choice. When you have gone through all of the schedulable windows in your design, you will begin to see the first stills of the content being shown in the chosen area. As you see with our screenshot below we have added three of the four zones with playlists and the bottom right zone is still to complete.

As you can see from the Currently Deploying section above, you will see an overview of your newly created schedule, showing the name of the layout, when the content is scheduled to both start and stop and any recurrence that has been configured. You can now use the final deployment stage to select which of your registered players you would like to deploy your default content to.
