With the reporting of data from the IADea players, it is worth being aware of a certain reporting bug, that can lead to 0 durations on certain assets.

Please be advised that the core SMIL application is Signagelive created or managed. Proof of Play logs are created by the IAdea software itself.

There is an identified issue with this, where the end time of an entry is the same as the start time.

These logs are uploaded to Signagelive and processed, which is then used to create the Proof of Play generated reports when requested.

During the processing of these, Signagelive uses the IAdea suggested work around, of using the start time for the next entry in the file as the end time.

This works, until the end of the file being uploaded, as there is not a next entry, and at this point we use the end time for the entry, which can result in a 0 duration, again due to the identified issue with the IAdea player log files.

We set IAdea players to upload their logs to us, once an hour, and therefore there is the potential for a single 0 duration entry every hour.

We are in discussions to provide more accurate reporting with fewer zero duration impressions.
