The signagelive Message Manager feature within your network enables quick and simple updates to your digital menu boards. Within your network you can create custom templates and assign administrators who can login and change the text shown within the feed. When any changes have been made, the text will be updated on to all registered players that have the menu board content deployed to them.

To use the Message Manager you need to carry out the following steps:

  • Before you can get underway using the Message Manager, you must have already created at least one custom RSS feed on your network. If you have not done this, please go through the previous section on creating custom RSS feeds and then you can move to the next stage.

Now that you have confirmed you have at least one custom RSS feed available, you will now need to assign individual user access rights to each individual feed. For each feed you create on your network and wish to use the Message Manager feature, you must assign the user(s) each time.

  • To setup user access, you will need to firstly go into the custom RSS feed area on your network. You can do this by clicking on the Content menu and then select Assets from the drop-down menu.
  • After selecting the Assets menu, you can now hover your mouse over the Add Asset menu and then select the Custom RSS Feed option.

When you have selected the Custom RSS Feed option you will now be in the Feed Browser of your network. It is within the Feed Browser that you will be able to see a list of all custom feeds added to your network and you can open and edit these at any stage. If you are about to setup the Message Manager feature, you should have at least one feed present in your list.
